Outlook Integration
Outlook
Integration enables you to integrate your
personal contacts in Microsoft Outlook with
your Taztel Call Manager. Using the Outlook
Contacts tab in the Taztel Call Manager,
you can perform a search of your personal
Outlook contacts by name or company. Once
the desired contact is located, you may click-to-dial
one of the contact's phone numbers, or may
choose to display the contact's vCard by clicking
on the name. When receiving a call, your Microsoft
Outlook contact database is searched for a
match of the caller's phone number. If the
number matches, the icon next to the incoming
calling name is highlighted and rolling the
mouse over it gives the caller's name. In
addition, you have the option to click the
icon to open the caller's vCard. You can have
new Outlook journal entries automatically
opened for incoming and/or outgoing calls.
You can choose to turn it off if you are at
a remote location using your Call Manager
but do not have access to your Outlook. The
contact retrieval option allows you to only
retrieve contacts from your default contact
folder for performance reasons.

Taztel
Call Manager
Taztel
Call Manager provides a web-based tool you
use to customize your services. To activate
the tool, click on the Call Manager at the
left of the page. This opens the Taztel
Call Manager which allows you to initiate,
manipulate and receive calls, as well as access
your user directories including Microsoft
Outlook. The Call Manager uses Microsoft Active/X
components to access your directories and
to store preferences so be sure you accept
the downloads when prompted so that the Call
Manager functions correctly. Also, the Call
Manager may be logged out if you lose network
connectivity or your PC hibernates.

Call Hold
To
hold a call, flash the phone (click the flash
button or click the hang-up button once) then
dial *22 the Call Hold feature access code.
You can then make another call while the first
call is held. Subsequent flashes followed
by *22 cause the active and held calls to
toggle. That is the active call becomes held
and the held call active.

Call Transfer
Call
Transfer allows you to transfer a call even
when your phone does not have a transfer button.
To transfer a call, flash the phone (click
the flash button or click the hang-up button
once) then dial the number you would like
to transfer the call to. Once the transfer
number answers, click flash again and the
two callers are connected and at this point
you can hand-up or conduct a Three-Way Conference
Call. This feature works the same way as Three-Way
Calling, instead of transferring on the second
flash, you are connected in a conference call.
Once in the conference call, if you hang up
the phone, the callers remain talking to each
other, in effect, transferred.

Three-Way Call
Three-Way
Calling allows you to perform a conference
call even when your phone does not have a
conference button. To conference a call, flash
the phone after you have made the first call
(click the flash button or click the hang-up
button once) then dial the second number of
the person you would like to complete the
conference with. Once the second number answers,
click flash again and the conference call
will be established. To end the conference,
hang up. Note that due to the Call Transfer
feature, the conference does not end when
you hang up since the callers are transferred
together.
